I’m Harriet Dodd, an ICF -PCC accredited executive and team coach, based in Edinburgh, Scotland and I absolutely love working with teams and individuals at C-suite and senior leadership levels, especially across different cultures. There’s something magical about bridging cultural divides and helping leaders find their authentic voice in diverse environments.

My journey began quite unconventionally – I was once a teacher in a village in Sudan with nothing but a donkey and an insatiable curiosity about everything different. That experience taught me that the most profound learning happens when we step completely outside our comfort zones and embrace the unknown with open hearts and minds.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of leading teams across international humanitarian organizations throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. These experiences have given me insights that you simply can’t get from textbooks or boardrooms. I’ve learned how to navigate complex cultural dynamics, build trust across vast differences, and inspire teams working under some of the most challenging conditions imaginable.

What drives me is helping leaders discover new perspectives and unlock their potential. I believe strongly in the power of creativity to transform thinking. As I always say: “Ideas come while riding a bicycle. Or when I take a piece of paper and draw. Try it: add colour – you don’t need to put it on the wall or share – your mind will change. Mine does every time.”

I bring this same creative, experiential approach to my coaching practice. Whether I’m working with a CEO navigating international expansion or a leadership team struggling with cross-cultural communication, I help my clients tap into fresh ways of seeing and solving their challenges.

My three decades of humanitarian leadership have taught me that great leadership isn’t about having all the answers – it’s about asking the right questions, staying curious, and creating space for others to flourish. That’s exactly what I bring to every coaching relationship.
